The Prime Minister is still not prepared to raise the white flag – regardless she ain’t made of the stuff that accepts their own errors and always tries to point the finger elsewhere.

In typical departure style before she heads off to China to experience the cold rush of Chinese diplomacy she had a go at John Howard – see story below:

Howard squandered pre-GFC gold – Gillard

| Date: Apr 4th, 2013 | Link to On-Line Story. |

Prime Minister Julia Gillard has attacked the former coalition government for squandering the prosperity before the financial crisis, saying there should be no false nostalgia.

In a speech in Sydney today, Ms Gillard said the upcoming September 14 election would not be a contest about some lost golden age.

She said in those days, easy credit and rapidly rising terms of trade created a sugar hit that could never be sustained.

Ms Gillard said if the Howard government had collected the same amount of revenue as her government now does, it would have spent its last seven years in office in deficit.

The PM’s full text of her address and Q&A session with Foreign Correspondents’ Association Newsmaker Lunch can be read here

No Government saw the GFC coming – they weren’t even looking for it. Howard made mistakes, as did Costello, but they had balanced budgets for eight or so years, and left a Treasury debt of almost zero.

Gillard is a mad hatter and akin to women who love to spend money on someone else’s dime – with a loony like Swan as Treasurer who leaks funds like a sieve, why would a socialist agenda be concerned about where the funds were coming from.

Her comments about Howard prove again what a disgrace she is … why won’t she admit her inadequacies, and her failings on so many promise’s … a message to Bob Carr – throw her off the plane on the trip over … we won’t miss her and she deserves a fate like that – we’ll reward you as the next PM until the next election.  That way your retirement pension will be benchmarked to the PM salary levels.

This dragon lady made this comment at the lunch today –

… Addressing the Foreign Correspondent’s Association in Sydney, Ms Gillard said she had experienced some ”uncomfortable moments” but the path she has forged as Australia’s first female prime minister will make it easier for future women.

”It’s not been ever the norm in our nation before for people to wake up in the morning and look at the news and see a female leader doing this job,” she said on Wednesday afternoon.

What a bloody fruitloop – the opposite is true – because of her no woman has a chance of becoming PM for generations.

Peter Garrett has the same disease … he is blaming staffers for his misinformation ..

Peter Garrett blames department for old literacy figures

SCHOOL Education Minister Peter Garrett has blamed his department for giving him out-of-date figures he used in at least two interviews to promote an increase in federal schools funding.

Mr Garrett used literacy-rate figures from a 1997 report when interviewed on ABC’s Lateline program and Sky News in February to push along discussions about the Gonski education reforms.

He told Lateline: “The Australian Council of Educational Research has said to us around 30 per cent of the young people who are going into high school can’t read or write properly.

“That’s the level of challenge we have, why our education decline is there, and that’s why we need a national plan for school improvement.”

It’s emerged that Mr Garrett was using figures taken from the 1997 Literacy Standards in Australia report, an assessment of Year 3 and 5 students.

Mr Garrett today blamed the mistake on his department, telling reporters in Sydney that he expects to receive up-to-date data.

“They’ve brought through a report to me and I always take what the department brings forward to me and reflect it,” he said.

Australia only has itself to blame for having an imbecile for a Prime Minister , and a half baked idiot for an education minister.
    Can’t blame anyone else……
And today the “esteemed” idiot of idiots , Bob Carr is wondering why America is not consulting with us on North Korea !!!..Surely he can’t be serious? Why consult Australia? what the hell are we going to do ? Send out a bark canoe? With a few nulla nullas to throw at them??
Ha ha ha our navy , what we have of one , is too busy assisting illegal immigrants in to the country.
Hasn’t Mr Carr learnt yet , that we are a joke on the world stage ?

    We have a
Prime Minister who hasn’t a clue about anything , other than supporting the Union thugs who are running the country.
An education Minister who seems to be still dancing around on a stage somewhere, screaming in to a microphone , and obviously hasn’t a clue what his own portfolio is supposed to consist of .Apart from having expensive holidays , at other peoples’ expense.
And we have Carr , the conqueror, the foreign minister who was elevated to higher status for his extremely successful years spent Living the Grand life whilst doing nothing , as Premier of New South Wales.
What next ? perhaps we can send Tim Matheison ,dressed up as a footy player, as an embassador to the world peace conferences .And don’t forget to send a few of his mates along to support him , just in case he has one or two beers too many .

Yes people , Australia is a joke .

And Most every other country on the planet , bar Australia , knows it .

1st female PM of Australia but not 1st female political leader.
Now name the inspirational one. Kirner, Lawrence, Keneally Bligh, Giddings Gillard.
    Take your pick

I think the US are consulting with Rudd … and that’s the rub … boofhead Carr is out of the loop and Gillard’s choice has her on the outer as well …

Not sure if you’ve heard – Tim the toolman has been tossed out of The Lodge … Gillard is trying out her Media Advisor McTurd for a while …

Even a great supporter of Gillard put her down today with her claim of “poor me”.
Peter Hartcher on Sky talking with fluffy pants Speers today said that her claim of bias because she is a female is false. When she knifed Rudd her popularity soared and was extremely high but after the honeymoon period it has dropped continually based purely on her performance (or lack of) and has nothing to do with being a female.

I would have said Keneally … at least she stare down the NSW ALP freefall …

Plibersek has had a go at Rudd supporter Ed Husic over an MRI scanner for his electorate – proves her Gillard pull is stronger than ALP unity …

HEALTH Minister Tanya Plibersek says Labor backbencher Ed Husic won’t get an MRI medical scanner in his electorate in the short term following his attack on the government over its $20 million funding of a major Hollywood blockbuster.

Ms Plibersek this morning said Mr Husic – the local member for Chifley in Sydney’s west – was entitled to argue hard for his community, but that didn’t guarantee he would get what he wanted.

Barry M, do you part your hair on the left or right .

On female leaders, you have overlooked Dame Edith Cowan. She was a real female pioneer, and leader. That is why she in on the $50 bill.

After Dame Edith on the left side of politics, I would nominate Joan Child member for Henty, and first female Speaker of the House.

One other first soon is Julie Bishop 1st feminine Foreign Minister.
