– Will he ever choose to be a Leader –
| Author: EYE-BALL Opinion | 4th Mar 2013 |
The personality of Tony Abbott has not undergone any renewal – he still sees himself as a follower and as hard as he tries – the Leadership persona escapes him.

The polls are all his way yet why play catch-up and follow Gillard to ‘Rooty Hill’?

‘Rooty Hill’ was Gillard’s stunt, and still might be a trap for Abbott if snared –  why associate himself with Gillard’s campaign – this is yet another sign of weakness by Abbott and his team.

Abbott has always given the appearance he is insecure in his choices … whether his oratory skills means he just can’t sell it is not good enough.  He shows sincerity in some areas, yet his ability to convince people is not solid.  Any other Opposition Leader would have put Gillard away a long time ago … why does Abbott give her air?

Gillard is in poll free-fall and Abbott wants to be there to catch her on the way down just to take her temperature and find out if she really is exiting …

It’s time for Abbott to show us that he believes in himself and show us he wants to lead … if not step aside and let someone from within inspire a disenchanted electorate.

Abbott’s confidence in his ability to Lead the Nation is what he has to come to terms with.  He is second guessing himself – his guest appearance on ‘Today’ this morning showed just how uncomfortable he is at the moment.

The Nation wants a Leader prepared to Lead … and what Abbott is giving us does not inspire, does not kill Gillard off.  The electorate has the dagger poised and chants at Abbott to – ‘do it … do it’ … but he is unable to thrust that blade to send Gillard off into the sunset.

Gillard and her team sense this … the hesitation … the befuddlement … and Gillard and her inner team sense that whilst there is life there is opportunity … Gillard is planning an escape and Abbott is campaigning as if afraid of the recovery.

Get out of ‘Rooty Hill’ Tony and run your own race … you being there is a blunder and the media will make you pay … you’re the distraction if Gillard shoots the moon … let Gillard swim out to sea all on her own … trust yourself and show us you are ready and the rest will take care of itself.

The EYE-BALL Opinion plea for action:

Gillard’s Government is poison to this Nation … how do we get rid of her now?

The message has to be sent – there are some 14 million registered voters represented by 150 MP’s – 72 of which are ALP.    If each of these 72 ALP MP’s received an e-mail, a fax, a phone call, or a letter from all the people who want her gone with a simple message like the one below –  :

This is a protest message …

… do you think it might motivate caucus …

Please – send this message to as many and as often as you can – bombard the Caucus Members with a message so clear and with weight of numbers that it will force them to act.

You could also think about sending it to the Independents, Oakeshott, Windsor, Wilkie, and Brandt,  as well … Katter already votes with the Coalition, and Slipper and Thompson are a lost cause and their fate already sealed.

Abbott claims he has finished his tour of Rooty Hill, and I suggest he should head to Hoppers Crossing in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne or the Northern and Southern Suburbs of Adelaide.

The Assistant Treasurer and member for Bradbury has been spruiking this morning the M4 East. He means joining the Western distributor at Haberfield to the M4 at Concord. From 1995 to 2011 the State ALP said it would not happen. Why the change now? The Feds wanting to campaign on State issues of health, education and transport? Let’s not talk about economics or immigration and offshore processing etc.

Sydney’s west is just as critical as the whole of QLD, and other states, like VIc, SA etc. The Coalition only needs to win say Lyne or Denison, and they are gone. As for Dobell, Bradbury, Fisher, and so on.

The Coalition are not selling their message well. Morrison last week great example. The issue is the government have lost the election, the coalition win by default. There is no other alternative. Any chance we can fast track a naturalisation for Beppi Grillo? I reckon Gina Rinehart could get him a 457 visa.

IMHO, Tony Abbott is a man who will grow in the job of Prime Minister, as opposed to those who have shown promise (or promised so much) and been such abject failures like Whitlam, Rudd and Gillard. Liberal Gorton was only ever a stop-gap, William McMahon was a good Treasurer but was always going to be hopeless as Prime Minister as was Fraser, but he did have the unenviable task of trying to recover from the excesses of the Whitlam debacle and unfortunately took Australia too far the other way.

I don’t envy anyone who has to try and clean up the current mess and the longer Gillard and Labor stay, the worse it gets. The Greens have already boasted they have tied up matters so tightly that no one will be able to unravel the legislative nightmare they have helped Labor create, as regards wasteful “environmental” programs, all with the hallmarks and signature of this regime – completely useless, irresponsibly wasteful with total unaccountability!
Scammers Australia-wide and overseas have enjoyed a bonanza at taxpayer’s expense!

I feel for the children and grandchildren of current taxpayers who will be picking up the interest bill for many years, for the maxed out government credit card as Labor Ministers continue to rush round the world giving away our borrowed money to various tinpot dictatorships for increasingly discredited causes!

I do hope so Hillbilly … but he has to get some clear air and tagging and pacing himself in behind Gillard is something his advisors have had him do for almost three years … Abbott needs to find his own mountain to climb so he can prove to himself he’s capable …

Until then and we get a look at him from that position – his electoral standing will always be in Gillard’s shadow …

I don’t want Rudd or anybody taking fire meant for Gillard … the ALP are a fractured political party … the Unions have splintered the public’s vote, likewise the endemic corruption … the opposition could begin a Menzies like era if the ALP fracture along Union lines … and if that be so then Abbott will have found a gold mine of opportunity …
