The above ‘quote’ was heard during a TV show called ‘Fairly Legal’– a USA Network drama that ran for two seasons [2011-12] before being canned in Oct 2012.

I heard the quote in the latter part of Season 2 during a scene where the lead characters – a divorced couple – were reminiscing about the ‘quote’ that hooked the lady on their first date.

The ‘quote’ stuck with me and I could not get it out of my head … it has such relevance across all spectrums and circumstances …

All it takes is for people to be brave and to stand their ground to have a better life.  It can sometimes be dangerous and have repercussions – but then to cower in the face of adversity yields a life much less than it could or might be.  We all need to be brave everyday in dealing with life and the problems it confronts us with.

I thought the origin of the quote would have been some well-known past author but research uncovered that the TV show seems to be where the quote was first used …

I think it is a ‘quote’ for the ages – that age never being more important than now … we need the courage to fight the path our Leaders seem to want us all to take – a path into a darkness they are not concerned with, nor have no idea where it will lead.   It can be used to draw strength in any everyday circumstance, a decision on self-worth, abuse in the workplace or home,  to make a hard choice where easy does not solve the problem … it’s a quote that warms the heart and allows the choice to become easy.

Mediocrity in Leadership breeds apathy – and unless the people show the courage to stand against that mediocrity then we fail ourselves and all who follow …

Say it too yourselves – ‘Courage is an angle’ … and again … ‘Courage is an angle’ – keep saying it to yourself and to others.  Use it as  a support backup when confronted – use it to define your actions and help you make a statement about yourself and who your are – it is that good a ‘quote’.
