Final Word on SOO …

NSW Cockroaches

As SOO 1 dawns – nerves have become heightened for the NSW team – spies at the Claxton have reported toilet flushes from the BLUES bus as it drove past the crowd of QLD’s there to greet and make their cauldron experience that more gladiatorial … If you’ve been there – you know what it’s like – the hype all week has been played down by spokespersons from both camps – you’ll know the result after 20 mins or so – I expect the Blues to drop their bundle early as the rookies and disjointed forward pack struggle to contain the well oiled and drilled QLD’s …

Stuart’s only option is to go the biff … and he’ll lose that battle as well – Innis – Young – Bird are lightweight forwards and King would fall over if he tried to take a swing – no – QLD by 13+ and then Stuart will be looking at the end of his football career for good …

Well done gallant in defeat. a sustained effort by all NSW players in game 1. I haven’t been this proud of a NSW side in years. Please change nothing but the result for the next game.

Thanks for the comment – I agree NSW fans can hold their head high …

It was a galant effort at 12-10 with 10m to go – looked like an upset – sets the

Soward was quite – Gasnier was marked out of the game – QLD left side defence – Lockyer – the Storm player and YowTe were caught out several times … Young was ineffectual – NSW Fullback ??? – Uate was good – Morris – what was he thinking – Hannet average – Lillyman – average – Gallen good but not up to this level – Bird OK – anyway more tomorrow …

Down here, it is miserable. Wind (gale force) and sleeting rain. I said to the bar maid, Sonya, poor crowd tonight, she blamed the weather.

How about the Blues just need some hope. In the first 10 minutes Qld were awesome. Then in the last 10 minutes when NSW had a chance, they were woeful. Which 10 minutes will matter in game 2, or 3 if the series is still alive?

Highly useful post. Your perspective is very clear and thought provoking. I will certainly be following your RSS. I really hope you will publish often on similar subjects. But I’m interested as to what your sources for your write-up are? Thank you.
